Welcome to Joe Wilson Intermediate Counselor's Corner!
My name is Miyake Lee and I am absolutely ecstatic about the students and families of Joe Wilson! Through the counseling office, I provide large group guidance lessons focusing on Bullying Prevention, Anti-Victimization, Study Skills, College Awareness, Drug Prevention and other topics as needs arise. Students may also participate in short-term individual and group counseling sessions designed to help them cope with the social and academic challenges of growing up in our complex society.
Throughout the year, I conduct various campus-wide activities such as Red Ribbon Week Drug Awareness campaign, Pennies, for Patients community service project, Bully Prevention Week, and many others!
I also conduct Individual Planning for students through Section 504 coordination, Dyslexia testing coordination, Student Teacher Assistance Team Coordination, and Homebound Instruction coordination.
I am excited to be a JWI Hurricane and look forward to working with you to help your child have the most exciting, productive year possible!
